Clinical Services:
In her role as the Administrative Director of Autism Services, Dr. Ryan oversees operations in the University of Alabama, Autism Spectrum Disorders Clinic and the University of Alabama, ASD College Transition and Support (UA-ACTS) Program.
- The UA ASD Clinic offers interdisciplinary diagnostic and interventions services to individuals from approximately 16 months across the lifespan. Assessments include psychology, speech/language pathology, and pediatrics. In addition, speech/language therapy and counseling services are provided. In her role in the clinic, Dr. Ryan provides assessment, intervention, and community training/consultation services as a licensed psychologist.
- The UA-ACTS Program offers academic, self-advocacy, social skill, daily living skill, career building skill, and counseling supports to degree-seeking UA students with an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis.
Teaching Experience
Dr. Ryan supervises undergraduate and graduate students serving as mentors to college students in the UA-ACTS program. In addition, Dr. Ryan supervises graduate students participating in counseling or assessment opportunities in the ASD Clinic and UA-ACTS programs. In addition, Dr. Ryan teaches the following courses:
